The Institute of Immunology at the Univsersity of Oslo is one of Norway's largest research institution in terms of scientific personnel and output. It is located in new buildings with modern lab and animal facilities at the National Hospital in the outskirts of Oslo At this time more than 110 are employed at the institute. Research is done on both basic and clinical immunology. The institute performes a series of routine analyses of patient material, and is a cornerstone of tissue typing and transplantation immunology in Norway
