 The group is a member in the Norwegian Research Council's Center of Excellence, Centre of Studies of Immune Regulation.  The group has extensive national and international collaborations

Composition: The group has an international flavour and is composed of 1 professor, 5 postdocs, 6 research fellows, 2 head engineer, 1 principal engineer, and 4 medical students.

Location and premises: The group is one of several research groups at the Institute of Immunology (about 130 employees), University of Oslo at The National Hospital. Excellent, new laboratory facilities, including animal facilities.

Funding: The group is 80% externally funded by The Research Council of Norway and The Norwegian Cancer Society. 20% is from The University/The National Hospital.

Research profile: The longstanding interest has been T cell recognition of MHC class II-presented variable region immunoglobulin fragments and the role this phenomenon has in T-B cell cooperation, induction of autoimmunity, and immune responses to B cell lymphoma and multiple myeloma.

Expertise: Experimental mouse work, transgenic and k.o. mice, molecular biology of T cell receptors and antibodies, cellular immunology, tissue culture, flowcytometry.
