My Interests

I have been working primarily with the tumor immunology of MOPC315 in Id-specific TCR-transgenic mice. We have previously shown that idiotype secreting tumor cells delete thymocytes and that CD4+ T cells protect against MOPC315 tumors. We have recently looked at the role of tumor killing in vitro and in vivo in gene modified mice.

My Responsibilities

I manage for the group our transgenic mouse colony. This involves performing all necessary procedures on the mice as well as following up ongoing in vivo experiments. I also propagate the strains of the Id-specific model system and cross these with other strains to make novel hybrid strains. My duties also include performing an array of immunological techniques essential for maintaining the colony and necessary for other aspects of our research.
